After an epiphany in 1997 changed the way Ari related to food, his heart opened up to the impact every person’s life has on countless beings and the world at large. Soon after this insight, Ari had a vision of himself attaining his worldly goals & dreams, yet left feeling empty inside. This led him to start a life long process of integrating values such as generosity, sustainability, and kindness into his businesses. Nessel Energy is a manifestation of this intention.
Over the year Ari’s real estate company, Nessel Development, has included solar energy, rainwater capture, water/energy efficiency practices, low impact materials, recycling and more to minimize its impact on our biosphere. This approach has brought forth great financial success. From which Ari has donated at least half of his income to non-profit organizations working toward creating a more just, sustainable and meaningful human presence on the planet. Thus far this has amounted to over $25M. Even more important to Ari then having a financial practice of generosity, Ari actively volunteers his time to the various causes he supports (which includes co-founding The Pollination Project and 50by40).
Ari works to undermine the delusion that life can be compartmentalized into separate boxes such as family, work, service, health and spirit. He remains constantly challenged to live his life in alignment with his values, and to utilize the numerous privileges he has been given, and to turn seeds into blossom and blossom into fruit.
